On Wednesday 5th February 15 students represented their houses in the final of the House Gaming Competition.
The first round took place on Character Development Day where students competed with each other on Mario Kart. Those who were successful then represented their house playing Rocket League at Base63 gaming centre in Halesowen (www.base63.co.uk).
I enjoyed the competitive nature of the tournament and found communicating and leading younger year groups fun, especially in a game that I like. (Billy, year 10)
I really enjoyed it because it was a way to make friends and to have fun while we worked as a team to try and win. (Libby, year 7)
I loved going to the gaming composition and playing rocket league against the other houses. As me being in Tudor I am happy coming 2nd place and scoring 2 goals for the team which is decent. It was really fun and a big thank you to Miss Harris who organised this great opportunity for students to do something they like doing and representing their house. Also a big thank you to David from Base63 for setting up the tournament. I hope they will do something like this again. (Laith, year 7)
The students discussed online gaming safety during the visit and made gaming friends with students from other year groups whom they had not met before which was brilliant.
Congratulations to all the Houses!
