Boccia Team Success

Boccia Team Success

A group of Windsor students represented their school in the regional Boccia finals on Thursday 19th January at Tipton Sports Academy.  We had two teams present, with both of them doing exceptionally well in a sport where they had very little practice.

Windsor Team A were able to progress through the group stage, semi-finals and into the final where they held their nerve to win the regional championship.  They have now progressed to the next round of the competition where they will be representing the Black Country.

Both teams performed brilliantly, with Windsor Team A becoming the stand-out performers of the event.  It was a very hard-fought final match where the teams were tied, meaning an extra match was to be played. Windsor Team A held their nerve and produced their best display of the competition, beating a very tough opponent who were regular Boccia players at their school.

It was a great collective effort from all Windsor students involved and they should all be proud of what they achieved.

Team A: Beth, Lucy, Brooke, Bryn
Team B: Thomas, Ryan, Kieran
