Dance Success at Youth Sports Trust Auditions

12 Windsor Dancers from year 7 – 9 represented the school auditioning at the Youth Sport Trust ‘YST Factor’. They travelled to Loughborough University and performed in front of Kimberley Wyatt, former Pussy Cat Doll and ‘Got to Dance’ judge, ‘Bounce’ from street dance group ‘Flawless’ and Lizzie Gough, professional hip hop dancer and judge on Alisha Dixons CBBC programme, ‘Alisha’s Street Dance Stars’.

The students were a credit to the Dance Department. They were professional and performed brilliantly. Their dance piece was a contemporary/commercial/street dance fusion which included a section using hand held lighting to the National Anthem followed by a lively funky fast dance piece to music from British singer/song writer Tinie Tempah and Katy B.

As a result they have been asked to perform at the Opening Ceremony of the National School Games in September to be held at Loughborough University. Well done to all girls who gave up every lunch time plus after school rehearsals in preparation for the audition.

Well done!
