Unsung Heroes

Unsung Heroes

We would like to highlight some of our unsung heroes who help us week after week by giving up their own time to help other pupils at Windsor and pupils in the community.

Hannah has volunteered 6 hours of her time at Halesbury School leading PE classes with their Key stage 3 and 4 Teacher who said:

“Hannah was the best Sports Leader we have had from another School! She has a lovely manner with the children, many of which have complex needs. I feel she has proven she an aptitude for working for with special needs. The sessions were excellent. They were safe fun and showed progression. Well done!”

Emily,  Alice in Year 11, Laura and Chloe from Year 12 have continued their volunteering hours by delivering netball coaching sessions after school every Friday. The club is aimed to help Y5 and 6 Halesowen pupils practice their skills to be match ready for the upcoming primary netball competition in March.

Laura, Scarlett, Aimee and Georgia have been a huge help to the PE department this term by running to score table at many basketball fixtures this half term. Again they are a credit to sixth form as they give up their own time week after week and have done a fantastic job!

Thomas and Lewis also in year 12 have helped out with many after school events and staff have complimented them on how keen and enthusiastic they are when leading!

Thank you to all our leaders, you are such a help to the PE department and we really appreciate your help.
